What to see and do in Dubai During Covid-19? – Attractions 2020

Dubai is a destination designed and developed for tourism. It offers visitors many entertainment options and different budgets. Here is desert safari dubai’s suggestions of what to see and do in Dubai in 2020.

  1. Burj Khalifa

At 828 meters tall, the Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world and it certainly tops the list of what you can’t miss in Dubai. It attracts millions of visitors every year, so if you don’t want to miss this attraction, I recommend you book your ticket in advance. Normally, buying one or two days before your visit is enough, and you can do it online on its official site.

Travel tip: How to save when visiting the Burj Khalifa?

Every night there is a nightly show with music and lights offered by the Burj Khalifa and that can be seen for free from different parts of the city. If this is not enough and you do not want to be left with the desire to climb the tallest building in the world, you should know that climbing to the top will cost you 618 AED, that is, more than 3,000 Mexican pesos (168 USD), however, there are Cheaper schedules and the option of going up to the middle of the tower for less than half: 142 AED (39 USD or 800 Mexican pesos).

  1. Burj Al Arab

The famous seven-star hotel (although officially it only has five) is one of the emblems of the city. To visit it inside you must be a guest or have a reservation in one of its restaurants, but be careful that each one has a minimum consumption that prevents the hotel from filling up with curious people.

Travel tip: Get the best photo

If you do not plan to enter the hotel, we recommend that you avoid going to its entrance, since the only way is by taxi, with public buses (which although they work well have quite long routes) or on walking. Upon arrival, you will find a gate and some guards that will prevent you from getting any closer. So if you are looking for a good photo it is better from the public beach or from the Jumeirah area.

  1. Dubai fountains

The world’s largest choreographic show fountains are also some of the most incredible. It’s sound and light shows are excellent entertainment options and are also free. There are them both during the day and at night, however, my favorites were the nocturnal ones.

If you want a different experience, for AED 20 ($ 5) you can walk on a 272-meter platform right in the middle of the lake. If you prefer to take a boat the cost is 65 AED (18 USD).

  1. Dubai Aquarium

The largest acrylic panel in the world had to be in Dubai too. The famous tank that contains 10 million liters of water can be seen without having to pay for the entrance to the aquarium, but if you want to enjoy it to its fullest, you do have to pay 230 AED (62 USD). The ticket includes a full visit to the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo where you can see more than 140 species, including more than 300 sharks.

  1. Madinat Jumeirah

The Madinat Jumeirah hotel and entertainment complex is a great option for a stroll, either on foot or by boat. It is a resort that includes different hotels, clubs, restaurants and shops. It has a very good view of the Burj Al Arab, making it one of my favorite places to take a photo of the famous hotel. You can find the complete guide to shopping malls in Dubai here.

  1. Desert Safari Dubai

A visit to the Middle East couldn’t be complete without visiting the desert, and Dubai has one. There are guided tours of the dunes with dinner included for about 50 USD (150 AED). You can book your desert safari dubai with us and enjoy the Dune bashing for 45 minutes in the middle of the desert. In this tour, you’ll enjoy Camel Ride in Dubai, Belly Dance, Fire Show, Tanura Show, BBQ Dinner with veg and non-veg dishes as well. Tour starts from 2:30 PM with a pick up from your hotel/residence. Then we shall take you to the desert which is around 40 minutes’ drive from Dubai city.

In the desert, you’ll get a beautiful photo point where you can take the photos for your social media and make the trip memorable for the life. There will be an opportunity to take photos with the falcon as well. Camel Ride during Dubai Desert Safari will be a lifetime thing for the kids. The trip will end around 9 PM and we shall drop you at your hotel/residence. Book Desert Safari Dubai now.

  1. The Dubai Mall

We do not necessarily recommend it to go shopping, since unless you are looking for luxury products this shopping center offers the same stores as the others, but always with more people and even higher prices for the same products. However, it is an experience in itself due to its spectacular fountains and curious decoration.

  1. Dubai Frame

It is one of the most recent works in Dubai. It is a viewpoint in the form of a photographic frame that allows you to see the old part of the city, on the one hand, and the new, on the other. The cost is 53 AED, something like 14 USD.

  1. Souks

The traditional part of Dubai is also present through its souks or traditional markets. The most famous are the Old Souk, the Spice Souk, and the Gold Souk.

The gold souk is famous for having the Guinness World Record for having the most gold per square meter and for having the largest gold ring in the world. Even if you don’t plan to buy anything, I assure you that the visit does not disappoint.

  1. Dubai Creek

Whether day or night, Dubai’s natural lake is worth a visit. It is located right in the center of old Dubai, close to the gold and spice souks. Evening rides that include dinner are the most popular, but if you don’t want to spend, for just AED 1 (5 Mexican pesos or USD 30 cents) take a community water taxi for a ride during the day.

  1. Miracle Garden

This is one of the most beautiful places in Dubai. It is the largest natural flower garden in the world and the most incredible thing: it is in a desert climate. So it only works from October to April.

  1. Ski Dubai

If you want to have the experience of being in the snow in the desert, in Dubai you will have the opportunity at Ski Dubai. The attraction is inside the Mall of the Emirates (not the Dubai Mall, although many confuse it). There are different tickets for the visit that start at 190 AED (50 USD). The price goes up depending on the attractions you want to go up to.

Outside of Ski Dubai, the Mall of the Emirates does not have anything very special, so I only recommend it if you want to visit this attraction or it is close to your accommodation.

  1. Global Village

If you want to meet the whole world in one place, the Global Village in Dubai is the place. It is a theme park where you can find replicas of the world’s most emblematic monuments and buildings and also buy their local products. It is not an amusement park with rides (although there are some and more are planned to be added in the future), most of the park is dedicated to pavilions from different parts of the world in the Epcot Center style at Disney World.

On Thursdays and Fridays at 9 pm there are fireworks shows and every Thursday at 7:30 pm there is a parade. The park is open only for the high season from October to April every day from 4 pm (although only women and families can enter on Mondays). Admission is AED 15 (less than $ 5).

  1. Aquaventure Waterpark

It is one of the top-rated amusement parks by travelers in Dubai. Ideal for families but also for all ages, due to its variety of attractions. Slides, the longest zip line in Medio Orienta, and even a private beach are part of what you can enjoy at the Aquaventure Waterpark. The cost depends on the activities you want to do, but the basic admission costs AED 299 (about 80 USD).

Another water park alternative is Dubai’s Wild Wadi Park.

  1. A walk through Dubai Marina

In this case, I am not talking about a particular attraction but an entire area of the city: Dubai Marina. It is considered the “new” Dubai and it is an area of a mile that is home to hotels, shopping malls, offices, and entertainment venues. You can take a walk or take a boat to see the skyline.

  1. The Palm in Dubai

The artificial island in the shape of a palm tree can only be enjoyed in its splendor from above, but it is still worth a visit by sea or land. The Palm hotel is undoubtedly the emblem of the island, which you can visit without being a guest if you have a reservation at one of its restaurants.

If your budget allows it, a helicopter tour will be the best way to enjoy this site.

  1. City Walk by Meraas

More than just a site, it is a shopping and entertainment area that is steps away from the Burj Khalifa. It is one of the newer areas of the city and without a doubt a must-see when you are in the Downtown area.

  1. Abu Dhabi City Tour

Abu Dhabi is not only the neighboring emirate of Dubai but a place where you will find many activities. So Abu Dhabi could be a trip in itself, but it is also a getaway from Dubai, which is why I include it in this count. Book your Abu Dhabi City Tour with us now.

  1. What to do with children in Dubai?

If you are looking for family-type activities, you will also find several amusement parks such as:

  • Legoland
  • Dubai Motiongate
  • Bollywood Parks Dubai
  1. Dubai free

Despite its fame as a luxury destination, there are also some options for those on a budget. If you are interested, we leave you a list of the things you can do in Dubai for free.
