Preparation for the Trip: What You Need to Know Before Leaving
When planning your trip to Abu Dhabi from Dubai, there are a few things you should keep in mind to make the most of your experience.
First and foremost, be sure to dress conservatively. While Abu Dhabi is more liberal than some other parts of the UAE, it’s important to respect local customs by covering your shoulders and knees. You’ll also need to take along your passport and visa (if applicable), as well as some cash to pay for entrance fees and any souvenirs you may want to buy.
Once you’re all set to go, it’s time to start planning your itinerary! The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a must-see – it’s one of the largest mosques in the world and truly breathtaking. Other popular attractions include the Emirates Palace Hotel, Yas Island (home to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi), and Saadiyat Island (an upcoming cultural hub).
No matter what sights you choose to see while in Abu Dhabi, be sure to leave plenty of time for rest and relaxation – this desert city is sure to tire you out!
Our Visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the most beautiful and serene places we have ever visited. It was our first stop on our Abu Dabhi Tour From Dubai and it did not disappoint. The mosque is so huge that it can accommodate over 40,000 worshipers at a time. It is also one of the few mosques in the world that is open to non-Muslims, which made our visit even more special.
As we walked through the main entrance, we were in awe of the incredibly intricate architecture and design of the mosque. We then made our way into the main prayer hall, which was absolutely breathtaking. The giant chandeliers, marble flooring, and incredible artistry throughout the mosque were simply stunning. We even had the opportunity to watch a traditional call to prayer while we were there.
After exploring the mosque, we made our way to Ferrari World, where we spent the rest of our day riding some of the fastest roller coasters in the world. While our day in Abu Dhabi was certainly action-packed, it was nice to start off with a visit to such a peaceful and beautiful place like the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
Exploring Emirate Palace & Yas Island
If you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Dubai, a quick drive over to Abu Dhabi is the perfect way to spend a day. And what better way to explore Abu Dhabi than by starting with a visit to the Emirate Palace?
The Emirate Palace is one of the most opulent hotels in the world, and it’s definitely worth a visit even if you’re not staying there. From the stunning architecture to the lavish interiors, it’s easy to see why this hotel is fit for royalty. Take a stroll through the grounds and marvel at the fountains and landscaped gardens, then head inside for a look at the grand lobby and luxurious guest rooms. If you have time, stop by one of the hotel’s restaurants for lunch or afternoon tea.
Afterwards, make your way over to Yas Island where you can find attractions like Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld. There’s something for everyone on Yas Island, so whether you’re looking for thrills or relaxation, you’ll find it here. Spend some time exploring Ferrari World with its exhilarating rides and coasters, then cool off at Yas Waterworld with its slides and lazy river.
No matter how you spend your day in Abu Dhabi, you’re sure to have an unforgettable experience.

Reflections on our Day Trip to Abu Dhabi
I can’t believe how much we packed into one day! Our trip to Abu Dhabi was incredible, and I’m so grateful we were able to see everything we did.
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque was an absolute must-see. It’s one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen in person, and the interior is even more stunning. The mosaics and intricate details are breathtaking, and I could’ve spent hours just taking it all in.
Ferrari World was also a lot of fun! We got to go on some great rides and see some amazing cars. My favorite part was definitely the Formula Rossa, which is the world’s fastest roller coaster. That was an unforgettable experience!
All in all, our day trip to Abu Dhabi was incredible. If you’re ever in Dubai, I highly recommend making the journey over – it’s definitely worth it!
